SYBus recognised at global awards ceremony

On the 17th March, the TravelMaster team headed down to London to attend the Transport Ticketing Awards 2026. Hosted at the historic Sheraton Grand on Park Lane, the event celebrates the smart ticketing and mobility industry's greatest achievements worldwide.

In February, we found out that we were shortlisted for Best Smart Ticketing Programme - Single Operator or Authority (Fewer than 500k Daily Journeys), for our innovative multi-operator bus ticket SYBus. As fantastic as it was to be shortlisted, it doesn’t compare to how ecstatic the TravelMaster team was when it was announced that we won bronze in the category. 

The awards are a globally recognised benchmark for innovation in transport ticketing, so placing among the best is one of the best endorsements we could have asked for, especially as this year there were more entries than ever before.

Since its launch in 2024, SYBus has sold over a quarter of a million tickets, helping people move freely on any bus across South Yorkshire with ease. With the SYBus ticket, passengers have options to suit their specific needs: 1-day, bundles of five 1-day, 7-day, 28-day and annual tickets and a 15% discount for 18-22 year olds.
